I'm getting really bad at updating this. I know, I'm an awful person, but let me get my awful excuses out of the way first. I had a mid term on Monday, and I'm sick today. The midterm was super easy. I was finished in like 5 minutes, and I got a lot of odd looks before I walked out of class. Tuesday was mostly unexciting, except for figuring out how to work remote intervalometers for the Sonys and the Olympus. Very exciting, I know.

Hey guys...
I bet you thought that I had died or something right? No, sadly, death hasn't come to me yet. I just haven't felt inspired or anything lately. So let's see the last time I wrote it was... Friday. Ok so, saturday. I went to the store for my grandma, and I found these super cool, plus really yummy, suckers with candy corn in them. I know that sounds so disgusting, but it's really not. I also make some M&M cookies, and they were BOMB! I also had my first official college study group for my English midterm. It was so much fun, a lot more than I thought it would be. It was just me and two other, older, guys from my class since no one else could make it. We started cracking jokes, and dissecting parts of speech. I know that doesn't sound funny at all, but trust me it was a 'Had to be there' kind of funny. Sunday, I didn't get up until 3 in the afternoon, and I played Sims and downloaded some custom content all day. Today, I'm going to shoot my cousins and my sister. Yay. I'm supposed to shooting all of my cousins today, but with one of us in school till I have no clue, and me having class at 4, I don't see that as a distinct possibility.

Braaains...?

Good morning Little Blogerites,
Sorry I didn't post yesterday, but I just plain did not feel like it. I went to bed at 5, got up at 7, went to the dentist, took my sister to my mom's, then to the DMV, then back to my mom's and my dad and I made it back to the house a little before noon. My dad went to sleep, and I played mindless computer games until my grandparents called me and asked me to bring over the mail and paper I had picked up for them Monday and Tuesday. We spent a wonderful 2 and a half hours talking about family, looking a OLD pictures, and I even got a slice of poundcake that my grandma made. I love my grandparents so so so much. I am the third of 12 grandchildren, and yet, my grandma and papa make time for all 12 of up individually. So, I got home about 6, ate dinner, passed out at about 7:30, and woke up a little after midnight. Stayed up till 5, then got up at 9:30 with a jack hammer tearing up the concrete porch right next to my window as my alarm clock. Ugh! Anyways, the story behind the picture is that I got an epic t-shirt. Now, I'm gonna go have a movie day, and possibly go to a pumpkin patch.

Hello my little Blogerites,
Well, day two of my healing didn't go as well as the first. First, I didn't wake up until about 2. This is kinda understandable though, since I didn't go to bed until 5. Anyways, I think I'm gonna stay away from my personal life for right now, and talk about my newest series; Searching for Superheroes. As children, we all strive to be like Superman, or some other persona in a cape. As we grow older, some of us choose to forget those dreams and focus on a more 'realistic' dream. I believe that inside all of us there is a part, no matter how big or small, that is still yearning to be a superhero. This series about the search for such a hero. Even if we are not wanting to be one ourselves, we all still hope and wish that we will find someone who will fill that void that we have had since we left our childhoods behind. When I stand in the middle of down town Tulsa, I feel like someone in a cape go leap from building to building at any moment. This may be a childish fantasy, but I KNOW more people than I have thought this. I point my camera to the sky and hope to capture my hero one day. I challenge you to do the same.

The Day After the Battle

Hey guys,
So, I'm healing up quite well. Today started out at 4 a.m. when my carbon monoxide detector decide it was gonna need its battery changed. I did that in the haze of sleep, then crawled into bed to sleep till my alarm woke me up at 8. That was the plan anyway. I slept right through my alarm, and woke up a little after 10. I dashed over to Booker T., and developed the film I shot on sunday. During this process, I had a short chat with Dylan, and received a list from Wakeley, telling me what I needed to get done. 1.) Charge the point-and-shoot digital cameras. 2.) Roll 20 rolls of film. 3.) Organize the monstrous art cabinet in the advanced darkroom. I started plugging in chargers when all the power strips on the now nefarious Chargeodactyl/Skeletor/Skelecharger decided to short. Wake and I just stared at in amazement. We rerouted 2 of the power strips through 2 more power strips, and into the wall. So task 1 was completed. After we sorted out the problem with Skelechargerdactyl, I set to work on rolling my film. I got to 14, and the film rolled out of the roller. We had changed the roll when I had started. I over rolled a little bit... Task 2 was completed... sort of. The third task, I asked Dylan to start. He had it done in a single class period, and he did it well. After a nice printing session, both analog and digital, I ran to Sonic, then school. After I ate, I went around campus, and got a FABULOUS idea for a series. I stood against the wall of the main academic building, and shot up and angled. I was AMAZED at how well it turned out. Operation 'Superhero Search' is a go! All I need now is to shoot people looking like they're about to crawl on the wall, or ducking into a phone booth. Math class tonight after my little shooting epiphany. I was called the 'Walking Calculator', only because the stuff is fresh in my mind from high school. All in all, a good day.

Hi,
Well, I ended the relationship last night. Yes, me and the boyfriend are no more. I know it was kind of stupid of me to do it, but I also needed it more than anything. I wanna be free, and not pinned down by anyone right now. I have my whole life ahead of me, and I don't need a relationship to live it. That was the inspiration for this image. I need to be myself for awhile to learn who I really am. I know that's corny, and cliche. I don't care. Life has it's ups and downs, and we just have to make the best of it. Apparently, since I can't drop everything and hang out with someone I considered my brother is basically dropping me like I'm nothing to him. My life is in the gutter, and I couldn't be happier. Is that odd?

Sisters
Hello all,
Well, I know this picture is old, but I didn't really get a chance to shoot, and I really hate using my crappy webcam seeing as I can't find my battery charger for my little point-and-shoot. My sister is here for the weekend, and I thank god for her softball routine, and ability to sleep through anything. If not for that I would be watching the Jersey Shore marathon. My dad is away at the OU game, and I shot 3 rolls of film today. A roll of color, and two of black and white. Anyways, The story behind this image is that I was at the fair with two of my oldest and best friends. One of them went on a ride, while me and the other one got a candy apple to share. I handed her my camera so I wouldn't get red candy all over it. She just started snapping away. Yes, she did manage to get some good shots of me, but I didn't like this one at first. It was only after I started editing it that I really started to enjoy it as a fond memory of me and my friends. You should go out and create some memories too.

Feeling better today, but mostly because it's friday. Hopefully I'll actually get out of bed today, but I highly doubt it. Today's picture, is the first thing that really came into focus when I woke up today. It's a gorgeous day, and I wish I wasn't sick so I could go out and do something. I know this sounds like I'm whining, but I'm not. Anyway, I hope everyone out there in the blog universe has a wonderful weekend ahead of them.

Hey Guys,
I'm not doin' so hot right now. My allergies are off the scale and I feel like I've had no sleep for several days, although I slept for at least 14 hours today. Due to my ailment, I'm going to give you another picture from my little series about the clouds. I really did enjoy shooting these, I only wish I would have a had a model in some of them.

Earthquakes and Lady Gaga

So, this morning there was a 4.5 mag earthquake in Norman, Oklahoma this morning. We felt the after shocks here, and I was a little scared because I was half asleep. My mom called me right afterwards and asked me if I felt it. I always thought my first experience with an earthquake would be a lot more destructive and messy, but nope. Everything is exactly as it was early this morning when I finally went to sleep.
Class tonight, and I am not looking forward to that at all. Hopefully I won't get bored to death. My psychology professor has this weird obsession with Lady Gaga. We watch an interview with her every week, right before break. Unfortunately, she also goes off on completely unrelated tangents during our lectures. Oh well, all I can do is try, right?

Introduction
Hello.
I started this blog with a mission in mind. A photo everyday, as well as a story behind it. I WILL complete this mission. So my photo today, was actually taken yesterday. I was walking out of my Freshman Comp 1 class, and the clouds were making some interesting shapes right in front of the sun. I had to stop by my mom's before I went home, and by that time the sun was halfway set. There is a small field near my mom's house, and I parked my truck and decided to shoot a few silhouette shots. This is he best edit I could do.
